Karen Williams is a producer, director, actor and youth advocate. Born in the United States and raised in Jamaica, West Indies and Toronto, Canada, Karen obtained a B.A. and M.A. degrees from Brown University and the University of London respectively.

Karen's international upbringing and travels enabled her to make impressionable connections with young people from disparate parts of the world. These experiences proved invaluable in shaping her unfaltering commitment to creating platforms for youth expression and advocacy. For over a decade, Karen has developed and produced youth empowerment programs, performance projects and public speaking workshops for inner city kids in the United States.

Karen has worked on the development and production of several Hollywood film projects and independent documentary films. Her acting career includes recurring roles on All My Children (Dr. Patricia Trowbridge), HOMICIDE (Barbara Shivers), Guiding Light (Vicky Brandon Spaulding), and several guest starring television appearances. She has also been the spokesperson for numerous television ad campaigns. Karen parlays this film and television background to work as a consultant for progressive youth advocacy and youth outreach media strategies.

Karen envisions her efforts as a rallying cry to celebrate the beauty, dignity and strength of all children and youth. In January, 2004, her 97 year old grandmother, Miss Vie, unknowingly christened this journey with an adamant reminder, "NO child is somebody else's child!"
